This two hour session, delivered by our experts Chris Adams / Fershad Irani and Katrin Fritsch, will get you started with estimating the carbon emissions of digital services. In this workshop you will:
- Learn why and how carbon emissions of digital services are estimated.
- Understand the value and shortcomings of carbon estimation models.
- Apply the knowledge gained to estimating the carbon emissions of a website.
- Learn what tools are available to help you measure a variety of digital service types.
- Have time to network and meet others on the same journey as you.
- Have ample time for your specific questions.
- Have all slides and documentation provided afterwards.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed as an introduction for anyone interested in quantifying the environmental impact of the digital services they are operating or using. It’s equally suitable for people in technical or non-technical roles, such as:
- Developers and technical teams who want to start quantifying impacts so they can make reductions.
- Sustainability champions within organizations or independent sustainability consultants looking to start reporting on the carbon emissions of digital services.
How does it work?
This two hour workshop will be held on Zoom, with a maximum of fourteen participants. It will consist of:
- Input delivered by our experts, Chris Adams or Fershad Irani on regulatory drivers for digital carbon estimates, real-world examples, and common tooling options
- Break-out session to discuss and apply concepts with other attendees.
- Ample time for questions.
- Slides and other resources to take away with you.
